Croatia presented at the most important B2B tourism fair in France

first_imgThe Representation of the Croatian Tourist Board for France presented the Croatian tourist offer during the largest and most important B2B tourism fair in this part of Europe. It’s about IFTM TOP RESA fair, the leading French international travel and tourism fair, which was visited over four days by more than 30.000 tourism professionals in the presence of more than 1600 tourism brands. IFTM Top Resa is a fair that presents tourism innovations in one place, covers all tourism sectors and is a leading networking event for tourism professionals.In addition to the Croatian National Tourist Board, the Dubrovnik-Neretva County Tourist Board and Croatia Airlines also participated in the fair. According to the CNTB, numerous meetings were held during the fair regarding the joint planned activities of the Croatian Tourist Board and partners in the French market, with an emphasis on the introduction of new airlines and participation in strategic promotional campaigns. Thus, meetings were held with some of the largest French tour operators, such as Travel Europe, TUI France, Look Voyages, Nouvelles Frontières, Top of Travel, Caravel Promovacances. Meetings were also held with specialized travel organizers (FTI, Clio, Kuoni, Comptoir des Voyages, Arts et Vie…), organizers specializing in apartment accommodation (Pierre & Vacances, Novasol) and airlines Volotéa, Air France and Transavia Airlines.The director of the French CNTB office, Danijela Mihalić Đurica, emphasized that in recent years Croatia has positioned itself in this important emitting market as an unavoidable Mediterranean destination with a constant increase in the number of overnight stays and arrivals. “Croatia is becoming one of the favorite holiday destinations of the French, as evidenced by the current figures from the French emitting market. Thus, in the first nine months, more than 500 arrivals of French tourists were recorded, which is an increase of 9,5 percent compared to the same period last year, and we also recorded increases of 5 percent in overnight stays. We are especially pleased with the increase in arrivals in the continental regions and in the pre- and post-season periods”, Pointed out Mihalić Đurica and announced that in the next period we can expect further growth from the French market. As she said, the positive trends are the result of numerous activities, expanding the production of numerous travel organizers, fairs and other sales activities, and the introduction of new airlines that operate outside the main season.last_img
